Lists families of: Jacob Klein: 4 males <10, 1 male 16-25, 1 male 26-44, 1 female <10, 1 female 26-44. This fits the list of children for Johan Jacob Klein. There is an extra male 16-25, and the age for Elizabetha Vogele is off by a year. John Klein: 1 male and 1 female >45. This fits for Johannes Peter Klein and his wife. Nicholas Klein: 1 male 16-25, 1 male 26-44, 1 female <10, 1 female 26-45. The younger male and female do not fit for the children, all born after 1800) Henry Klein: 1 male 16-26, 2 females <10, 1 female 16-26. No known relation fits these data. These listing account for all the sons of Johannes Peter Klein except for the youngest, Johannes Klein, who should have been 26 in 1800. He could be one of the males living with his brothers.

Peter 16, and Johan Jacob Klein 44; Judith born in Feb 1810, Elizabeth 2, Catherine 5, Lydia 7, Susanna 12, & an unidentified female age 16-25 possibly a relative helping with the children. Elizabetha Vogele had died in February, before the census, at the birth of Judith.
3	1820 United States Federal Census. Macungie Twp, Lehigh Co, PA, page 8. Jacob Klein household: 5 males 16-25, 1 male 26-44, 1male >44, 2 females 10-15, 1 female 16-25, 1 female >44. The males corresponds to Gabriel 25, Joh. Jacob 24, Philip 21, Johannes 19, an unidentified male 16-25; Joh. Peter 26; and Johan Jacob Klein 54. Daughter Lydia age 17 is not recorded (married or working?). Of the 3 daughters age 10-15 (Catherine 15, Elizabeth 12, Judith 10) only 2 are recorded (possibly Judith did not survive). Susanna is 22. An unidentified female over 44 is possibly the housekeeper seen in 1810. It is also possible that Johan Jacob Klein remarried.
4	1830 United States Federal Census, Upper Milford Twp, Lehigh Co, PA, pg 33. Census is not dated. Jacob Kline household: 1 male 40-50, 1 male 70-80, 1 female 40-50. The location has changed from Macungie to a neighboring township, so may reflect Johan Jacob living with one of his sons & the son's wife; or he may still live with the possible housekeeper or 2nd wife seen in 1820, and one son. Johan Jacob would be 64, his oldest son Joh. Peter 36, so the ages are not a perfect fit.
5	Will for Jacob Klein, signed 24 Oct 1832, filed 25 Feb 1833. States that Jacob Klein is from Macoungu Twp., Leoha Co., PA. Lists the following children: Peter, Gabriel, Philip, Johannes, Jacob, Susanna, Catherina, and Elizabeth. Two "step-sons" are also mentioned as executors: Isaac Matturn (or Malturn), and Peter Klein. Source Notes

• The records of Lehigh Church and Longswamp Church give conflicting records as to the parentage of Elisabeth Vogely. The Lehigh Church records list Peter Vogele & Elisabetha Mertz as her parents; Longswamp Church records list them as sponsors at her baptism, parents being Henrich Vogele and wife Barbara. There is slight difference in the birthdates. In the Lehigh Church record, subtracting age from death date gives a calculated birth date of 22 Mar., 1775. In the Longswamp Record, birthdate is 10 Mar. 1775. Error could enter into the calculated age (months & days)for the death record; the back calculation of birthdate from this record; the recording of baptismal date as birthdate, etc. If these two records refer to the same Elisabeth Vogele, then either the parents are recorded wrongly in one set; or, the sponsors Peter Voegely and Elisabetha Mertz actually raised the child, and were recorded at her death as her parents. The other possiblity is that these two couples each had a daughter, born within 12 days of each other, each with the same name.
• In the baptismal records of the Longswamp church there appear to have been two different couples named Peter & Elisabetha Voegele, having children in the same era. This confuses the issue of which children are the descendants of our Peter Voegele and Elisabeth Marz. Also, Elizabeth Mertz is recorded as a baptismal sponsor on 23 Apr. 1810 for Elisabetha, born to Heinrich & Margaretha Vogele. It is curious that her maiden name would be used at that point, if she is the Elisabeth Marz who married Peter Vogele before 1775. It seems that by the 1780's and 1800's, these families had been in the area long enough for there to be multiple people with the same name, of more than one generation.

• Ancestry.com has a marriage record from the Lehigh County, PA, Hilffrich Pastoral Records indicating that Elisabeth Vögele was married on 7 Apr 1799 at Longswamp, Berks Co., PA. This seems a bit late considering their kids, and the husband is not named. An image of the record is not available at this time.
