Note: Lehigh Church, also known as Zion's Lutheran Church, is located in Lower Macungie Twp., Lehigh Co. PA. Many of the early members of Lehigh Church lived in Longswamp Twp., Berks Co., as it was the closest Lutheran church. Records translated and transcribed from the German originals by Raymond E. Hollenbach, 1964.

Note - From 1845-1861, baptisms often held in the home & record not entered; some entries were scattered throughout the record book,some poorly written. Resolution passed in Sept 1861 requiring all baptisms be done at church; records resume in good order. After a time they again fell into disorder)
Mar. 1886, pg 141, end of baptisms recorded in the 2nd church book.
June 1885 Dr. Abraham R. Horne pg. 142 - Dr. Horne discontinues recording baptisms in the church record book, but kept a personal diary of baptisms. These were later copied into church book, but with some errors.
