Source Notes
- The 1850 census from Cherokee County has not been linked explicitly to our direct-line Kings; a lot of the names matched up so I included it here, even though Cherokee County is quite a ways away from Charlotte.
- No census found for Elizabeth in 1830 or later. This might indicate that she remarried or that she died prior to 1830.
- There is not definitive proof that John W. King was a son of John King and Elizabeth. However, much of the court and census record supports this conclusion.
