On the previous line is the family of Elizabeth King with 3 male aged 16-25 (including 1 male 16-18), and 1 female >45.

The oldest male corresponds to John W. King. The oldest female is probably Margaret Rogers King. The five children are most likely those of John W. King and Margaret Rogers. The male 20-30 could be Argyle King or one of John W. Kings siblings.
The evidence here and in the wills for John King and Elizabeth King indicate that John W. King is likely a son of John King.
Valentine Hipp lives a few farms away.

The NC Marriage records show a James King marrying an Elizabeth Smith in 1798 and a John King marrying Elizabeth McCormick in 1797. Another John King marriage, to Margaret Rogers occurs in 1818. This may be the source of some of the difficulty in sorting out the relationships and names.

Bounded as follows - Beginning at a Hickory on the No. side of the Creek William Scotts corner, then with his line So. 12 W 100 poles crossing the Creek to a Small Black oak & Hickory, then with three of the division lines East 20 poles to a B.O.. then So. 18 E 93 poles to a pine at the cross Roads George Kings corner, then with his line N 56 E 140 poles to a B.O. on the old line, then with Said line N 13 W 60 poles to an Ash near the Creek, then So.75 W 28 poles to a W.O. by the Creek, then with the old line to the Beginning. This and other court records indicate that there was a family relationship between the King and McCormick families.
