He is a farmer and now owns and occupies a farm of 77 acres, and is also engaged in the oil business. He has been school director for several terms. His parents were Jacob and Susannah (Weter) Kline. W. J. Kline was married on Feb. 28, 1870 to Christina Best, a daughter of John and Margaret (Smail) Best, who came from Westmoreland county in 1804. They have three children - Ida L., Warren E., and Elmer S." |

- Significance/relationship unknown, the obituary below for Leonore G. Knight includes a Richard Kline, of the generation born late 1920'2 & 1930's. See children's chart above, Vincent Cuvier Kline married in 1933, and had a son Richard. No further evidence of a connection; to be researched.
Obituary publication date & source missing but probably Oil City Derrick, ~Jan. 26, 2004. Leonore G. Knight, 77 of Lamartine d. 23 Jan 2004. Born 5 Mar. 1926, Licking Twp., Clarion Co., dau. of the late Marion B. & N. Grace Heeter Best. Worked in Keystone Elementary School cafeteria; member Trinity Evangelical Congregation Church in Fern. Married 1st on 1 Jan 1944 to Donald W. Bashline who died 1966. Married 2nd Randall Knight in 1981; he died 1995. Mrs. Knight survived by daughter Mrs. Taylor (Donna Kay) Cotton of Sandy Lake; two sons Timothy (Vanessa) Bashline of Sigel, and Roger (Jeanette)Bashline of Knox; 5 grand- and 1 great-grand children. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Kline of Knox, & Charlotte Shoup of Emlenton. Preceded in death by parents, husbands, a son Gregory Bashline in 1998, brother Woodrow (Buss) Best, sister Pauline Wile. Rupert Mortuary of Knox. Funeral Monday (ie,26 Jan 2004) with the Rev. Mark Miklos of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church of Fern; interment at Perry Chapel Cemetery.
