2 1840 United States Federal Census, Muddy Creek Township, Butler County, PA, Page 7, lines 25-31 lists James Wilson household with 2 males under 5, 1 male 15-20, 1 male 30-40, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 30-40. This corresponds to James & Mary Wilson & children George, William, Lot, and Martha.

3 1850 United States Federal Census, West Connoquenessing, Butler County, PA, Page 101, lines 25-31 lists James Wilson, 45, married to Mary Wilson, 44. They are listed as living with five children: John (?) Wilson, 24; Lot Wilson, 19; William Wilson, 17; Martha J. Wilson, 15; and George A. Wilson, 7. All family members are listed as having been born in PA. Lot and William are listed a "laborers," John is listed as a "Tanner" or possibly "Farmer". James' occupation is possibly "Carpenter". Lot, William, Martha, and George are listed as having attended school within the year. The census is dated August 23, 1850.

4 1860 United States Federal Census, Muddy Creek Township, Butler County, PA, Page 14, Dwelling 93 lists James Cratty, 38, as a farmer married to Tamson Cratty, 31. They are listed as living with their four children, son James Cratty, 9, son (illegible T---field?), 7, daughter Martha J. Cratty, 6, and daughter Eleanor Cratty, 3. All were born in PA. The older three children attend school.


Another record on Page 14, dwelling 95, is for the family of Lot Wilson, Tamson's brother, living with his wife Nancy and three children.
Between these two families, at dwelling 94, are Nancy Wilson's parents, James Gallagher, and wife Mary. They live with five of their children, and with William Wilson,(Lot Wilson's brother) who is listed as a farm laborer at the Gallagher farm. This census is dated 8 Jun 1860.

5 1870 United States Federal Census, Muddy Creek Township, Butler County, PA, Page 7, lines 15-20 lists Tamson Cratty, 41 [7?], living with five children: son James Cratty, 18; son Winfield, 17; daughter Martha Cratty, 16; daughter El[illegible]na Cratty, 13; and daughter Rimilla Cratty [?], 6. James and Winfield are listed as Farmers. All were born in PA. Tamson is listed as unable to read, though capable of writing [which seems dubious]. All of the children except "Rimilla" attended school. This census page is dated 7 + 8 Jul 1870.
