This accounts for John Kline, wife Anna, and first 3 children Henry, Reuben, & Jacob. Another male age 30-40 living with them, possibly one of John's older brothers or a farm hand.

Family of John Kline: 2 males 5-10, 1 male 10-15, 1 male 30-40, 1 female <5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 30-40. There are a few discrepancies on the ages of the children, but they are close. • As Sarah E. Kline does not on the 1900 census indicate any number of years married, and retains the Kline surname, it is assumed that the grandson Charley Smith is not hers but another sister's child.
