Klein conveyed by his daughter, Lizzie Kline Burgdorger, to her daughters Marie Glass Piper & Dorothea Glass Slye; thence to Cammy Whitehill Shreffler, granddaughter of Dorothea Glass Slye. William O. Klein was 11 yrs. old when his father died and 13 yrs. old when his mother died. He lived for a time with the Fye family (his sister Catherine). "He had the hardest job at the mill until he was about 18." William O. Klein has not been identified in the 1870 census as yet; he would be 19 yrs old and was probably working. He is not found living with his siblings. He married in 1874 and does appear in the 1880 the census with wife Mary and children. |
