Conroy, died in the Almira Home today at 3 a.m. following an illness of about a year's duration. Mrs. Conroy was born in Isle, Butler County, on March 13, 1869, the daughter of J.C. and Mary Jane McCandless Stoughton. She passed practically all of her life in New Castle; for the past year and a half she lived in the Almira Home. She was a member of the Third U.P. Church, the Ladies of the Maccabet's and W.B.A. Surviving are two sons, Lester Wimer of New Castle and Lowry Wimer of Slippery Rock, one brother Solomon Stoughton of Slippery Rock, one granddaughter, Mrs. Blanche Seamans of Ellwood City and a great grandson, Stanley Seamans of Ellwood City. Funeral services will take place at 1 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon from the Almira Home with Rev. Chester T.R. Yeates, of the Third U.P. Church in charge. Interment will be in Mt. Zion cemetery, Butler County. | ||

Thomas James Conroy, aged 69, 1236 East Washington Street, died at the Bashline hospital in Grove City early this morning following a three weeks illness from heart trouble. Mr. Conroy was born in Ireland but has been a resident of this city many years, having been a foreman at the Carnegie Steel Mill the past forty years. Sadness is added to his death by the fact that his wife is seriously ill in the Bashline hospital having undergone an operation and will be unable to attend funeral services. Mr. Conroy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Conroy, two step sons, Lester Wimer and Lowry Wimer and a step-granddaughter, Mrs. R.A. Seamans of this city. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from the residence 1236 East Washington Street with Rev. E.C. Anderson and Rev. S.B. Copeland officiating. Interment will be made in the Mt. Zion cemetery. | ||
