Mrs. Conroy was born in Isle, Butler County, on March 13, 1869, the daughter of J.C. and Mary Jane McCandless Stoughton. She passed practically all of her life in New Castle; for the past year and a half she lived in the Almira Home. She was a member of the Third U.P. Church, the Ladies of the Maccabet's and W.B.A. Surviving are two sons, Lester Wimer of New Castle and Lowry Wimer of Slippery Rock, one brother Solomon Stoughton of Slippery Rock, one granddaughter, Mrs. Blanche Seamans of Ellwood City and a great grandson, Stanley Seamans of Ellwood City. Funeral services will take place at 1 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon from the Almira Home with Rev. Chester T.R. Yeates, of the Third U.P. Church in charge. Interment will be in Mt. Thomas James Conroy, aged 69, 1236 East Washington Street, died at the Bashline hospital in Grove City early this morning following a three weeks illness from heart trouble. Mr. Conroy was born in Ireland but has been a resident of this city many years, having been a foreman at the Carnegie Steel Mill the past forty years. Sadness is added to his death by the fact that his wife is seriously ill in the Bashline hospital having undergone an operation and will be unable to attend funeral services. Mr. Conroy is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Conroy, two step sons, Lester Wimer and Lowry Wimer and a step-granddaughter, Mrs. R.A. Seamans of this city. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. from the residence 1236 East Washington Street with Rev. E.C. Anderson and Rev. S.B. Copeland officiating. Interment will be made in the Mt. - Obituary of Sidney Jane Stoughton Conroy names "granddaughter Mrs. Blanche Seamans and great-grandson Stanley Seamans," both of Elwood City PA. Blanche W. Wimer, daughter of Sidney Jane's son Leslie, is the granddaughter mentioned in Sidney Jane's obituary.
- The 1920 census mentions a niece named Blanche. Blanche A. Stoughton,(b.~ 1909) daughter of Solomon R. Stoughton, is the niece of Sidney Jane Stoughton listed in 1920 census.
- Granddaughter Grace Wimer (Lidington), named in "The Wimer Family" as daughter of Lowery Wimer, is not named in the obituaries so perhaps she died before 1930.
- 1930 census: Lowry Wimer (age 44), wife Maud (age 43, born Ohio), daughter Grace (age 13, born Ohio), and mother-in-law Susie Taylor (age 84, born PA) living in Youngstown OH, 1035 Star St., Enum. Dist. 50-19, pg. 8-9 on ancestry.com.

- Searching the 1930 census for the Washington Street address of the Tom Conroy family in 1920 showed a different family living there. Sidney Jane Stougton Conroy could not be found, nor Lester. No entry found for any Conroy in New Castle Lawrence Co. PA, other than a Thomas Conroy, age 59, single, born Ohio, living alone (Enum. Dist. 37-56, pg 16 on ancestry.com).
- We find two trees on Ancestry.com listing William Harrison Wimer, died 1865 in El Paso Texas. This would be supported by the recollection of John T. Wilson's grandfather that Harrison went west. We have no evidence that Harrison Wimer's name was William, but as that was his father' name it is quite possible. It is however also possible that some researcher has found the Texas death record for a William Wimer, born 1889, and attached that to Harrison Wimer without corroborating evidence. Additional sources needed.
