7	History of Clarion County 1887, By Davis, p. xxix "Kennemuth, John R., Fern p.o., Ashland, a farmer and oil producer, was born in Prussia May 1, 1843, and was a son of Jacob and Dorothea (Schinderwolf) Kennemuth, who settled in Ashland in 1856, on the farm which is now owned and occupied by John R. Their children were Catherine, Eliza, Conrad, Jacob, and John R. John R. was married in 1869 to Mary Fox, a daughter of John Fox, of Brady's Bend. They have had a family of six children - Edward, Willie, Frank, John, Ella and Frederick."

Her father was Jakob Kuehnemuth, merchant, carrier, born at Frankershausen, 8 Oct 1796, christened 25 Oct 1796. He was married at Frankershausen, 30 Sept 1824, to Dorothea Elisabeth Schindewolf,( born at Frankershausen 28 Nov 1804).
