| 2 | Church Records of Longswamp Reformed Church 1748-1810, Folder #78, Longswamp Twp. collection, Berks Co. Genealogical Society Library, Kutztown, PA. , photocopy Feb. 1995 By E W Williams. "Elisabetha Klein, dau. of Nicolaus & Elisabetha, born 14 Apr. 1775, bapt. 5 Jun., sponsors Johann Jacob Muller & Magdalena Klein (single)". "Catharina Klein, dau. of Joh. Nicolaus & Magdalena Klein, born 17 Jan. 1800, baptized 24 Aug., sponsorsJohannes & Catharina Klein". Ed. If Nicholas Klein of these Longswamp Church baptisms is the son of Johannes & Catharina Klein, he appears to have married Elisabetha first, then Magdalena Klein (a cousin?), with Maria Unknown of The Lehigh Church baptisms being then a thrid wife. The Reformed Church in Longswamp, Berks Co. was about 5 miles from the (Lutheran) Lehigh Church where Johannes & Catharina Klein were members.

Longswamp church records for a possible marraige record, Joh. Nicholas Klein & Magdalena Unknown; a death record of Magdalena Klein, or additional baptismal records for children of Nicholas & Magdalena. Needed to establish whether Magdalena was a first wife to Nicholas, son of Johannes & Catharina Klein, or if Nicholas, husband of Magdalena, is another person.
