- The gravestone of Martha Jane Wilson (Milhausen)at Prospece, Emanuel Lutheran, is very worn and the inscription unclear. Three different transcriptions vary in their reading. - The name Millhausen is also seen as changed to Millison, Millson, Millron.
- Neither Martha nor Hiram appears in the 1870 or 1880 Ancerstry.com registry search, under any of the name variations. Searching Muddy Creek Twp for Hiram or Martha gave no likely variants although there is a Martha Gallagher with the right age and a daughter Mary in the 1870 census.
