Claus Kuhnemuth is a tentative addition to the Kuhnemuth family tree. Church records in Frankershausen show his son also named Claus was born 23 June 1729. This son Claus (1729) bore a son who was baptized in 1771 and whose godfather was "Johannes Kuhnemuth, brother of the father". Thus two brothers, Johannes and Claus Kuhnemuth, had a father named Claus Kuhnemuth.

    "On 19 Aug. 1809, the driver Johann Kuhnemuth from Frankershausen age 37 yrs. and reported the birth of a male child born on Aug. 18th to be named Johann Claus, born by his wife Anna Elisabetha. Witnesses: Jacob Kuhnemuth and Johann Claus Kuhnemuth."
