Church records in Frankershausen show Claus Kuhnemuth, son of the elder Claus Kuhnemuth, was born 23 June 1729. This son Claus (b. 1729) bore a son Johannes who was baptized in 1771. The godfather of Johannes Kuhnemuth was "Johannes Kuhnemuth, brother of the father", ie. his uncle.
This godfather Johannes Kuhnemuth is possibly the same person as our direct line Johannes Frantz Kuhnemuth born~1745.
