Research
When I first saw the 1870 census entry here, I thought it must be wrong since the children were so old and it was quite a distance from Terre Haute. However, I stumbled across this tree on ancestry.com: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/21790383/person/1150926716 where it became clear that Alexander McCulloch had had a previous marriage with children who were showing up in 1870. Also, Alexander and Arminta eventually had a child named "Warren Erastus McCulloch" which is an obvious homage to members of Arminta's family, so I stuck with it. I haven't dug out enough sources from that tree yet to demonstrate that their son Warren's middle name is Erastus, so I need to do that since that is the clincher here.
