Johann Adolph Diederich

NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR Johann Adolph Diederich is not in my direct ancestry. His g-g-grandchildren William and Louisa Dietrich married into the Frederick family. See: Children of John Frederick and Anna Catherine Kenemuth Members of the Dietrich family immigrated from Hitzerode, Germany, to Clarion County PA, as did the Frederick family.

A notation in the church record regarding Johann Adolph Diederich is "under the Hannoverian troops". In the death record of his son Johann Michael Diederich is noted "son of Adolf D., soldier (musketier) under the Danish troops." It is not known whether he was a professional soldier, or was subject to conscription at various times.
