Franklin Klein was a son of Johan Jacob Klein and Susanna Weeter of Lehigh County PA. Jacob worked as a blacksmith in Blairs Corners, Beaver Twp, and eventually had eleven children. Jacob's and Susanna's deaths are noted in the records of St. Paul's church. Both are buried in Knox.
