7	1920 United States Federal Census Clay Township, Butler County, PA, Enumeration District 35, page 18, lines 65-68 lists Louisa E. Stoughton age 60, widowed, living with her son, John A. Stoughton, age 43, also widowed. Also present is Louisa's grandson, Maynard Stoughton, age 17. Maynard attended school this year. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Louisa is a farmer on her own farm. John is a miner in a coal mine. Margin notes indicate that they live on Beaver Dam Road. This census page is dated 27 and 28 Jan 1920.

Stoughton of Clay Twp. died at his home Tue. afternoon following a nose hemorrhage. He is survived by his widow, a daughter Mrs. Blanche Davis of Elwood City, & 2 sons, John of Elwood city & Bert of Midland. The funeral took place Thursday at St. John's church, Clay Twp.
