Family of M.A.McCandless: 1 male <10, 2 males 16-26, 2 males 26-44, 1 female <10, 2 females 16-26, 1 female >44. This is Moses McCandless who should be in his 30's in this census. He is possibly living with his widowed mother and a brother. Jane Hockenberry should be around 20, and Jane "Jennie" McCandless should be around 10.
2	1830 United Staes Federal Census, Muddy Creek Twp, Butler Co, PA, page 15. Census is not dated. Family headed by Moses McCandless: 1 male 15-20, 1 male 40-50, 1 female <5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 20-30, 1 female 30-40. Jane Hockenberry should be about 30 at this time.
3	1840 United Staes Federal Census, Muddy Creek Twp, Butler Co, PA, page 9. Census is not dated. Family headed by Moses McCandless: 1 male 20-30, 1 male 50-60, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 20-30, 1 female 30-40. Note:The location is right and the ages seem appropriate except that Jane should be older than 40 if her daughter Jane "Jennie" McCandless was born in ~1810. It is possible that Jane Hockenberry had died by 1840.
