Source notes
- Argyle does not show up as a head-of-household in the 1830 census. He was possibly still living with relatives since his first children are not born until 1838. He would be somewhere around 25-30 in this year
Conjecture
The 1830 census has a family headed by John W. King (3 males <5, 1 male 5-10, 1 male 20-30, 1 male 30-40, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 30-40). The male 20-30 could be Argyle living with a relative. This family does not seem to match with the later King families in our line.
