They live with four children: daughter Elizabeth Wimer, 7; daughter Elenor Wimer, 4; son Isaac Wimer, 2; and son George Wimer, 1. Samuel Wimer is a farmer. Everyone was born in PA. This census is dated 9 July 1860. Note: This entry ends at the bottom of the census page and does not continue at the top of the next.
2	_1870_United_States_Federal_Census, Worth Township, Butler County, PA, Page 16, lines 19-24 lists Samuel Wimer, 40, married to Elizabeth, 38. They live with four children: daughter Lizzie Wimer, 16; daughter Jane Wimer, 15; son Isaac Wimer, 12; and daughter Margaret Wimer, 10. Samuel Wimer is a carpenter. Everyone was born in PA. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. All of the children attended school within the census year. This census is dated 25 June 1870.

Lines 4-9: Warren McDeavitt, age 26, farmer; wife Elizabeth age 26;daughter Clara (T.) age 3; dau. Lettie F. age 2; dau. Eva P. age 6 mos, born in Oct.; uncle James McDeavitt age 83, no occupation. All & all parents born in PA.

Lines 91-92 : Samuel Wimer, 73, born Oct., 1826, married to Elizabeth Wimer, 68, born July, 1832. They have been married for 48 years. They are listed as having had four children, none of whom are alive. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Samuel is listed as a farmer. Both can read, write, and speak English. They own a farm, with mortgage. Note: the recording that they had 4 children, 0 living, is erroneous. Five children are listed in the 1860 & 1870 census, and we know that son Isaac C. lived until 1942.
5	Obituary of Samuel Wimer Butler citizen, Sat. 20 Jan 1912,p.3 col.5. Samuel Wimer of Worth Twp. died at age 86 on Thurs. night, after a short illness due to old age. He was the son of the late Samuel & Elizabeth (Hines) Wimer, pioneers of Worth Twp.; resided all his life in the district. Survived by son Isaac Wimer who resides on the homestead, & 3 daughters, Mrs. Warren McDeavett & Mrs. James Alexander of West Liberty and Mrs. George Kelley of Keister. A brother George Wimer of Worth Twp. also survives. Funeral services at the residence Sat. 1:00 p.m. by Rev. R. G. Thomas, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church at West Liberty; burial in West Liberty cemetery.
6	Obituary of Ford McDeavitt Butler Eagle 4 Jan 1978; extracted by Peg Tiberi Ford McDeavitt, 82, West Liberty Boro, died 3 Jan. 1978, born 29 Sept 1895 in West Liberty, son of Warren and Elizabeth Wimer McDeavitt. He was a stone mason. Married on 17 Sept 1920 to Betty Dickson McDeavitt. Five sons & 2 daughters. Burial West Liberty Cemetery. Note added by Peg Tiberi - "Dad's cousin". See Contributors page.
