When visited in June 2007 the house was abandoned, but barn was in use and corn was planted.

Wagon shed on Wimer farm. Isaac had only two sons to help with farming, to support 11 family members.

Wimer house; subsequent owners covered exterior with insul-brick, enclosed the rear patio area, & wired for electricity. Nine children were raised in what appears to have been 2 or 3 small rooms.

They live with seven children: daughter Estella, born Jan 1884; son Lawrence, born Feb 1886; daughter Lizzie, 12, born Dec 1888; daugher Clara, 8, born Oct 1891; daughter Mede, 6, born May 1894; daughter Ida, 3, born Mar 1897; and daughter Mary, 5 months, born Dec 1899. Isaac and Maggie have been married for 17 years and Maggie has given birth to seven children, all of whom are still living. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. They live with their grandson, James P. Wimer, 24. At the time of their first marriage, Isac Wimer was 25 and Maggie J. Wimer was 19. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. Isac Wimer is a farmer and James P. Wimer's occupation is "house wiring." This census is dated 18 Apr 1930.
8	Butler County, PA, 1916 Farm Directory lists Isaac Wimer living with three children on a 50 acre grain farm which he owns. The farm is located on rd 2, Slippery Rock, Worth Twp, highway 22.

10	Obituary for Clara Mabel Wimer. Lists name as Mrs. Clara Mabel Wilson, wife of Bert W. Wilson of Nickleville. She died at the age of 52. Born near Slippery Rock to Isaac and Margaret Robinson Wimer. Clara and Bert lived near Slippery Rock until 14 years before her death, when they moved to Nickleville. She is survived by her husband, her mother Margaret Wimer, six children: Edwin D. Wilson, Russell W. Wilson, and Allene M. Wilson living at the family home, plus Ruth Vergis, John T. Wilson, and Ray B. Wilson living elsewhere; plus the following brothers and sisters: Stella McNeese, Lizzie McDeavitt, James Wimer, Mary Cathagan, Meda McDeavitt, Ida Spillwagon, and Lawrence Wimer.

• We believe that Paul W. Myers erroneously entered the mother's name in the list of children. John T. Wilson in 1980 said that he had not had an aunt Margaret. The possibility remains of a child that died at birth.
