When visited in June 2007 the house was abandoned, but barn was in use and corn was planted.

Wagon shed on Wimer farm. Isaac had only two sons to help with farming, to support 11 family members.

Farm visited 2007 by grandson Russ Wilson, and great-grandchildren Lee Wilson & Betsy Wilson Williams

Wimer house; subsequent owners covered exterior with insul-brick, enclosed the rear patio area, & wired for electricity. Nine children were raised in what appears to have been 2 or 3 small rooms.

They live with four children: daughter Elizabeth Wimer, 7; daughter Elenor Wimer, 4; son Isaac Wimer, 2; and son George Wimer, 1. Samuel Wimer is a farmer. Everyone was born in PA. This census is dated 9 July 1860. Note: This entry ends at the bottom of the census page and does not continue at the top of the next.
2	1870 United States Federal Census, Worth Township, Butler County, PA, Page 16, lines 19-24 lists Samuel Wimer, 40, married to Elizabeth, 38. They live with four children: daughter Lizzie Wimer, 16; daughter Jane Wimer, 15; son Isaac Wimer, 12; and daughter Margaret Wimer, 10. Samuel Wimer is a carpenter. Everyone was born in PA. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. All of the children attended school within the census year. This census is dated 25 June 1870.
3	1880 United States Federal Census, Worth Township, Butler County, PA, Enumeration District 58, Page 2, lines 41-44 lists Samuel Wimer, 55 [58?], married to Elizabeth, 48. They live with two children: son Isaac Wimer, 22, and daughter Margaret Wimer, 19. Samuel Wimer is a farmer. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. This census is dated 1 and 2 June, 1880.
4	1910 United States Federal Census, Worth Township, Butler County, PA, Enumeration District 108, Page 2, lines 90-99 lists Isac Wimer, 52, married to Margaret J. Wimer, 44. They live with six children: son Lawrence J. Wimer, 23; daugher Clara M. Wimer, 17; daughter Meda M. Wimer, 15; daughter Ida T. Wimer, 12; daughter Mary B. Wimer, 10; and daughter Bertha L. Wimer, 6. Also present is Isaac's father, Samuel Wimer, 83, and Isaac's grandson, James P. Wimer, 8. Isaac and Maggie have been married for 27 years and Maggie has given birth to eight children, seven of whom are still living. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. Isaac's occupation is listed as "Farmer." Lawrence and Samuel are listed as "Carpenters." Clara, Meda, Ida, Mary, Bertha, and James all attended school within the census year. This census is dated 20 Apr 1910.
5	1920 United States Federal Census, Worth Township, Butler County, PA, Enumeration District 66, Page 9, lines 10-14 lists Isaac Wimer, 61, married to Maggie J. Wimer, 56. They live with three children: son Lawrence J. Wimer, 33; daugher Bertha Wimer, 15; and son James Wimer, 16. Bertha and James attended school within the census year. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. Everyone and their parents are from PA. Isaac is a farmer, Lawrence is a tool dresser on a gas well. This census is dated 2 and 3 Feb 1920.
6	1930 United States Federal Census, Worth Township, Butler County, PA, Enumeration District 10-70, Page 6, lines 88-90 lists Isac Wimer, 71, married to Maggie J. Wimer, 65. They live with their grandson, James P. Wimer, 24. At the time of their first marriage, Isac Wimer was 25 and Maggie J. Wimer was 19. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Everyone can read, write, and speak English. Isac Wimer is a farmer and James P. Wimer's occupation is "house wiring." This census is dated 18 Apr 1930.
7	Butler County, PA, 1916 Farm Directory lists Isaac Wimer living with three children on a 50 acre grain farm which he owns. The farm is located on rd 2, Slippery Rock, Worth Twp, highway 22.

9	Obituary for Clara Mabel Wimer. Lists name as Mrs. Clara Mabel Wilson, wife of Bert W. Wilson of Nickleville. She died at the age of 52. Born near Slippery Rock to Isaac and Margaret Robinson Wimer. Clara and Bert lived near Slippery Rock until 14 years before her death, when they moved to Nickleville. She is survived by her husband, her mother Margaret Wimer, six children: Edwin D. Wilson, Russell W. Wilson, and Allene M. Wilson living at the family home, plus Ruth Vergis, John T. Wilson, and Ray B. Wilson living elsewhere; plus the following brothers and sisters: Stella McNeese, Lizzie McDeavitt, James Wimer, Mary Cathagan, Meda McDeavitt, Ida Spillwagon, and Lawrence Wimer.
9	The Wimer Familyby Paul W. Myers, p.7 Isaac L. Wimer (b. 1858, d. 25 Aug. 1942) m. Margaret Robison (b. 1864, d. 30 Apr, 1950). Lists 9 children: Stella Wimer m. John C. McNeese; Lawrence Wimer m. Katherine Vogel; Elizabeth Wimer m. Robert E. McDeavitt; Meda Wimer m. Bert McDeavitt; mary Wimer m. Guy Gahagen; Margaret Wimer (erroneous, see source notes);Bertha Wimer; Clara Wimer m. Isaac & Margaret were members of West Liberty church, & are buried at West Liberty Cemetery.

• We believe that Paul W. Myers erroneously entered the mother's name in the list of children. John T. Wilson in 1980 said that he had not had an aunt Margaret. The possibility remains of a child that died at birth.
