Johann Heinrich Dietrich is not in my direct ancestry. His grandchildren William and Louisa Dietrich married into the Frederick family. See:

The Dietrich and Jung families immigrated from Hitzerode, Germany, to Clarion County PA, as did the Frederick family.


John Heinrich Diederich's occupation was that of "joiner". He was the second son of his parents, and a soldier in 1817. Later he bacame a carriage-maker. HIs godfather was Johann Henrich Rock, son of Johannes Rock
