- The death notice of Mrs. John Heeter, "daughter of Mrs. R. L. Shafer", by its wording (Mentioning the mother but not the father) suggests that her mother outlived her father. However, the obituary of John S. Heeter clearly states that his wife died in 1920, and he in 1953. This death notice may be for the wife of a different John Heeter.
