Jacob Beals

The Biehl surname is of German origin. The family intermarried with other German families who migrated to western PA at about the same time from the Lehigh Co.-Berks Co. border area of Pennsylvania. (See Brey, Klein). In various descendents' records for this family, the Anglicized name is found spelled Beal, Beals, and Beels.

Jacob Beals is the progenitor of our line, and although he lived in Pennsylvania, his place of birth is unknown. What is known of Jacob Beals comes from two chri stening records, for a son (our direct ancestor), and a daughter, both born in Lehigh County Pennsylvania.
