Source notes

  • Per Jan Finke: Myrtle Elizabeth Grossman was b. 1 Feb 1896 in Cherry Twp., Butler Co. PA; d. 28 Nov 1947 in Prospect, Butler Co. PA.; buried with spouse at Crown Hill Cemetery, Franklin Twp., Butler Co. PA. Her obituary appears 28 Nov 1947 in the Butler Eagle pg 24. Finke's source for the parents, Lycurgus "Curtis" Grossman & Ida Christy, is: Rootsweb World Connect Project - The Pazics-Kleback Family.
  • Per Jan Finke: Janet Jane Wilson b. 1919, was raised by her great-aunt Matilda E. Wilson, brother of Janet's grandfather Henderson H. Wilson. She appears in the 1920 census at age 7 mos., living with her natural parents.
  • Per Jan Finke re. spouses of Janet Jane Wilson: 1) Dean Roher b. 15 Sep 1916; d. Feb. 1985 in Portersville, Butler Co. PA. 2) Albert Edwin Campbell b. 16 Feb 1921 in Evans City, Butler Co. PA; d.21 Aug 1992 in Butler Hospital, Butler Co. PA. m. 25 Dec 1942. Buried 24 Aug 1992 Emanuel Luth. cem., Prospect. Military: U. S. Army. Obit. 22 Aug 1992 Butler Eagle pg 5. Parents Albert George Campbell & Nancy J. Heckard (from source: obituary).
  • In the 1930 census, George Henderson Wilson's aunt, Mary Jane Wilson (Shoaf), lives with a "niece", Geraldine M. Wilson, who was born in about 1921. Geraldine is actually a great-niece, as Mary Jane Wilson (Shoaf)is sister to the child's grandfather, Henderson H. Wilson. The 9 year old Geraldine presumably helps keep house for her 70 year old great-aunt.
