Catharina Walter, daughter of Martin Walter, was confirmed in 1729, and in 1737 married first to Martin Hohmeister. If she were twelve years old at confirmation and twenty at marriage, she would have been born about 1717. She married again in 1749, in Hitzerode, to Jakob Speck. Their son Jakob Speck was born in Hitzerode five years later, so it is likely he had older siblings. (It is not known if there were children from the marriage to Martin Hohmeister.) Catharina and Jakob Speck may have lived out their lives in Hitzerode,as did their son, although there are no church records found there for their deaths.
