6 | Obituary Elizabeth Ethel Wimer McDeavitt, Butler Eagle, Monday 9 Mar. 1981. Mrs. Elizabeth Ethel Wimer McDeavitt, 92, of 112 1/2 N. Main St., Slippery Rock, died at 7:05 pm yesterday in Orchard Manor, Grove City. Mrs. McDeavitt was the oldest living member of West Liberty United Methodist Church. Born Dec. 25, 1888, she was the daughter of Isaac and Margaret Robinson Wimer. She was married to Robert Earl McDeavitt on Feb. 25, 1909. He died Jan. 3, 1974. Surviving are three sons: Clair H. of Sun City Center, Fla., and twins Paul and Earl, both of Butler; six daughters: Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Ramming of Gasport, N.Y., Mrs. Kenneth (Gilda) Greenway, Slippery Rock, R. D. 2, Mrs. George (Ethel) Campbell of Sun City Center, Fla., Mrs. Ralph (Opal) Blakely of Grove City, Leah Jean McDeavitt of Slippery Rock, and Mrs. Richard (Bertha) Stewart of Slippery Rock; a sister Mrs. Ida Stillwagon of Michigan and one brother Lawrence Wimer of Indiana, PA; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Two daughters and five sisters preceded her in death. Services from Cunningham-Smith Funeral Home; burial in West Liberty cemetery. |
