  • J. H. Strotman 1860-1921; Mary A. his wife 1855-1906; STROTMAN
  • G. W. Strotman 1887-1911 (near grave of J. H. Strotman & Mary Ann)
  • Maggie R., wife of J. H. Strotman, died March 2, 1878, Aged 24 yrs 10 mos 25 days.

Headstone "STROTMAN" with four smaller stones in front of it, three without surnames (presumably Strotman) and another, surname Hogue. Left to right facing the headstone:
  • Catherine I. Hogue 1923-1940
  • Perry M. 1879-1962
  • Effie S 1879-1940
  • Cecil A. 1915-1916
To the left of these markers is a stone for Lawrence W. Hogue 1892-1966, "Father", & wife Viola E. 1900-1972, "Mother". It is possible that the Catherine I. Hogue stone is at the outer edge of this Hogue plot, instead of part of the Strotman plot. It is of the same pink marble and same design as the 3 Strotman stones, & unlike the Lawrence & Viola Hogue stone.

Source Notes

  • Perry Strotman was the son of Amos and Louie Strotman (from the 1880 US census, Ashland Twp, Clarion Co, PA) and he and Effie (last name unknown) were married in December of 1899 (1900 census). Perry was born in Jan and Effie in May of 1879. The 1910 and 1920 census list children: Rola E. (1910 census, b. 1901), Prosper A(lbert), b. 1904, and Paul, b. 1912).
  • The dates listed for Effie Strotman, dau. of John Henry Strotman and Mary Ann Kline, found in two of our sources appear to be erroneously take from the gravestone of Effie Unknown, wife of Perry Strotman.
