Source Notes

  • The 1860 census is included above, to show that Emma's father, William "Billy" Beals, was probably 32 in 1870, and thus about age 24 when Emma was born. Her mother, Susan, was about 19. (Per the 1900 census, William is able to read but not write).
  • Per Duane Beals, Parker & Emma are buried in Richland Township Cemetery.
