Portrait of attendees to the 80th birthday party for James Francis Beals, in 1926. He is standing in center left, a tall man in a dark suit with a white shirt forming a visible "V". To his left (to the right in picture) and slightly ahead of him in a white dress with rounded collar is third wife, Elizabeth Rhoades Ashbaugh. To his left (to the right in picture)in a dark coat is his first son, Charles Beals. His son, James Elgie Beals is visible directly over his right shoulder.
