Source Notes
- The 1880 census has the name spelled Lewis rather than Louis, but the other information seems consistent, and no other citations of Lewis Fillgrove in the area around Salem Twp. are found.
- The parents of Louis Fillgrove are not found in the 1870 census. He and a sister are living with a different family, also immigrants from Hanover. It is possible that the parents came later, or that the children were boarding and working on the Bisenhouse farm. A child (Marey) born to William and Amilia Fillgrove in 1871 is born in Pennsylvania.
