Faye McClellan was born in 1916, in Oklahoma to Clara Louise Beals and Jesse C. McClellan. When Faye was four years old, her mother became fatally ill. Clara Louise arranged for her sister Lillian Mae Beals Shannon to raise Faye in Emlenton, PA. The Shannons had two daughters already, Olive, aged 15 yrs., and Edith, aged 5 yrs. (Fay's obituary mistakenly names Olive & Edith Shannon as her sisters). Faye learned to play both the organ and the piano well. She worked in the accounting department at Quaker State Refining Corp. for a number of years.
After her first marriage to Ed Wilson ended in divorce, she married Rollin Taylor. When Faye became ill with cancer, she was cared for by her cousin Edith Shannon (Beals)
Faye had a brother, Jesse C. McClellan, Jr., resident of Texas.
This biography provided by Duane Beals, son of Edith Shannon Beals.
