All of the Williams family and their parents were born in NC, and the same with Mr. Birkie and Mr. Beacher. Mr. Collie and his parents were born in VA. Edmon M. Williams' occupation is listed as "Cloth Inspector / Mill". Mary A. Williams' occupation is "seamstress." John D. Williams is listed as being in school. Mr. Birkie's occupation is illegible. Mr. Collie's occupation is "Weaver (Cotton Mill)." Mr. Beacher's occupation is "Clerk (Dry Goods)." All of the adults can read, write, and speak English. These census pages are dated 13 and 14 Jun 1900, respectively. Margin notes by the enumerator indicate that the Williams family lived on "Davidson St." Furthermore, this was the first record from that street, suggesting that perhaps they lived on a corner lot.
