1	1930 United States Federal Census, Richland Township, Venango County, PA, Enumeration District 61-40, Page 6, lines 65-73 lists Birt W. Wilson (sic), 39, married to Clara M. Wilson, 38. They live with six children and a live-in farm laborer: daughter Ruth M. Wilson, 17; son Edwin D., 15; son John T. Wilson, 12; son Russel W. Wilson, 9; son Ray B. Wilson, 6; daughter Allene N. Wilson, 3 years and 10 months; and laborer Lester Lawrence, 43. When Birt W. Wilson and Clara M. Wilson got married, he was 20 and she was 19. All of the children except Allene attended school within the census year. Everyone but Allene can read, write, and speak English. Everyone and their parents were born in PA. Birt W. Wilson's occupation is listed as "Farmer." This census page is dated April 15th, 1930. Note: Lester Lawrence was a bachelor cousin of Bert Wilson's. Bert's mother, Ella, and Les's mother, Annie, were Stoughton sisters.

Born 14 June 1920 in Slippery Rock, Butler Co. PA., son of Bert W. & Clara Mabel Wimer Wilson. Graduate of Emlenton High School in 1939. Served in U. S. Army in WWII, stationed in the South Pacific; Wounded on the Philippine Islands of Leyte and Mindanao; recipient of the Purple Heart. Member of American Legion Post 32, Oil City. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Oil City. Employed 33 yrs. as surveyor, geological department, at National Fuel, retiring in 1984. He married 8 June 1944 to Eloise White who died 1985. 5	Interviews of Russell W. Wilson, 2007-2009, by niece Elizabeth Wilson Williams, and her direct personal knowledge. During the last three years of his life, Russ took his older son and his niece on driving tours of the old Wilson and Wimer family farms in Butler Co. PA, and to visit his Wimer & Wilson cousins in Butler and Indiana counties, PA. During these tours, written notes and voice recordings of his family recollections and relationships were made.
