(Queens) & Kings. Co. (Brooklyn). It runs parallel to and just soutn of I-495 which crosses the East River into Manhattan at the Queens Midtown Tunnel.   • the sources listed are unavailable to us, so that scope or ambiguity can't be assessed

We offer this page as an ancestral possibility, with the caveat that it is unconfirmed by us.

Hans Teunise Covert was born in Heemstedt, Holland in 1657/58. His name is also seen as "Jan", the Dutch form of the German "Hans" (short for Johan/Johannes). From the name spelling "Hans", and from his wife Jannetje Brokaw having been born in Mannheim, Germany, we assume Hans Tuenise Covert, or possibly his parental family, migrated to Germany, probably Mannheim.
Hans Teunise Covert and wife Jannetje Brokaw migrated to America, sometime before the birth of daughter Catherine in 1688. (The old Dutch colony at New Amsterdam had become New York, under British rule, in 1664.) His known children were born in America; the first child Catherine born 1688 in Brooklyn; the next five children born 1690-1699 in Dutch Kills, Long Island NY; and finally two daughters born 1706-1709 in Somerset, New Jersey.
