Church records in Frankershausen show ''Claus Kuhnemuth'', son of the elder [[Claus Kuhnemuth]], was born 23 June 1729.  This son Claus (b. 1729) bore a son Johannes who was baptized in 1771. The godfather of Johannes Kuhnemuth was "Johannes Kuhnemuth, brother of the father", ie. his uncle.  <br>This godfather Johannes Kuhnemuth is possibly the same person as our direct line [[Johannes Frantz Kuhnemuth]] born~1745.
