Filed January 15th AD 1849
Butler County , Registered in the office for Registering wills in and for said county in will Book C Pg 69. James McJunkin, Registrar.

Last will and testament of Andrew Stoughton. Know all men by these presents that I Andrew Stoughton of Muddy Creek township Butler County and State of Pennsylvania do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following. First, my son Thomas and James and my daughters Eliza and Polly to each of them I have given their share. Second, to my son Jacob I give all my real and personal estate and he is to pay my debts and give to my daughter Jane one cow and feather bed and bedding, one beaurow and spining(wheel), and to my wife Rebecca he is to give her a comfortable living in a room by herself on the farm as long as she remains my widdow in witness wereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of March one thousand eight hundred and forty five. I do hereby appoint my son Jacob to be executor of this my last will and testament. Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Andrew Stoughton to be his last will and testament in the presence of (....)his request and in his presence have signed our names as witnesses thereunto.

Before me the subscriber register for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said county personally came John Stoughton and David Fisher Esq.s and being duly sworn according to law deposeth and saith that they were present with the testator Andrew Stoughton (on the eighteenth day of March AD one thousand eight hundred forty five,)[this phrase has been lined through, and "or about" added], and saw and heard the testator sign seal publish and declare the foregoing instrument of writing to be his last will and testament and at the time of his so doing he appeared to them to be of sound and disposing mind and memory and they at his request and in his presence subscribed their names as witnesses thereunto. Sworn and subscribed before me this 15th day of January AD 1849, James T. McJunkin, Reg.
