Mary S. Snyder was a granddaughter of Barbara Ann Hartman, and married Aaron Hartman, possibly a second cousin. The research of Susan Fulmer Hartman is an effort to find the connection between these generations of the Hartman family, and possibly their origins. Barbara Ann Hartman is a direct line ancestor.
