Patrick James "PJ" Kline, 50, of Kerr Street, Shenango Township, went home to his heavenly Father on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, after a 30-year battle with alcoholism. He fought hard the last year to beat the disease, but in the end lost his battle. He passed away at Jameson Hospital with his family and loved ones at his side with his last breath. He was born July 8, 1959, in New Castle, a son of Robert L. and Donna Clinger Kline. PJ graduated from Mohawk High School and was a self-taught computer programmer. He worked for PRC in Dulles, Va., as the lead electronic technician for eight years. He also worked for the county of Butler as a computer tech for three years. PJ loved hunting and fishing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his brother, mom and dad, and watching NASCAR with his niece and sister. He loved his family dearly and they loved him with all their hearts. He will be missed, but with joy we know he is in a better place. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Kaci Kline of Boston; a son and daughter both of Bessemer; a brother, Jeff A. Kline of Edinburg; five sisters, Cindy D. (Jim) McGowan of Portersville, Linda S. (Sonny) Gearhart of Reynoldsville., Pa; Kelly A. (Junior) Fulcher of Loganville., Ga; and Tracy L. Kline and Jodi R. (Jim) Allison both of Edinburg; and 14 nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death and meeting him in heaven are his brother, Robert P. Kline; and his grandparents Robert and Mabel Kline and Philip and Alberta Clinger. His family will receive guests from 2 to 3 pm. tomorrow at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave. Blessing services will be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. The Rev. James Downs of Christ the King Parish will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Callensburg, Pa

  • Note by sister Kelly Kline Fulcher, posted on MyFamily.com/KeystoneCorner: My brother was cremated and his wish was to have his ashes spread among his many ancestors at MT. Zion. My parents replaced the tombstone of my brother Bobby with a larger tombstone and added PJ's name to it. They are between our grandparents, Robert & Mabel Dixon Kline, and our great-grandparents, Charles & Louella Watson Kline.
