" Freda R. Bell Wilson, age 91, of Franklin, died at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Sugarcreek Station in Franklin. Born March 28, 1919 in Oil City, she was the daughter of Thomas and Lela Moon Hahn. She was a graduate of Oil City High School. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Nickleville Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Freda was married in New Bethlehem on May 19, 1943 to Ralph E. Bell, who preceded her in death on January 24, 1982. She later married Russell W. Wilson on July 17, 1986, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2009.
Surviving are two sons, James R. Bell of Florida and Harold W. Bell and his wife Susan of Franklin; two beloved grandchildren, Brianne M. Bell of Oil City and Michael W. Bell of Franklin; a step-son, Russell “Lee” Wilson and his wife Paula of Lickingville; two step-grandchildren, James C. Wilson and Michael J. Wilson; and two step-great-grandchildren, Nathaniel T. Wilson and Michael Drake Wilson. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Gretchen Hunsberger, Myra Fulmer, Betty Huff, and Georgia Walker; two brothers, James Edward Hahn and Charles Richard Hahn; and a daughter-in-law, Rita Bell.
Friends will be received Wednesday (Oct. 13th) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Hile-Best Funeral Home, Inc., 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. Funeral services will be held Thursday (Oct. 14th) at 11 a.m. from the funeral home, with Rev. Sue Montgomery, pastor of Nickleville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Nickleville Cemetery, Richland Township, Venango County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nickleville Presbyterian Church, 169 Valley Church Road, Emlenton, PA 16373; or to a charity of one’s choice."
