Source Notes
- Wirthenbach Germany is now Numbrecht-Wirtenbach, near Waldbrol, 50 miles NE of Cologne.
- Per researcher Willi Leiner , the Wirthenbach church records indicate Martin Klein died after Aug. 1800. As this is the marriage date of Martin Klein's son, Johannes Klein, it is possible Mr. Leiner miss-read his notes and, thinking 1800 to be the birth date of Martin Klein's son, assigned Martin's death date to some time after his son was born. The notes from Mr. Leiner are not direct quotations of the church records but rather a filled our descendancy chart with dates for births, marriages, deaths.
Conjecture
- Reference to Pieter Klein, father, second son Martin Klein, on following web link:

This is not documented at this time, but the area of Germany is correct .
