    Note the discrepancy of this marriage date (1 Jan 1700) with the date (16 Dec 1699) recorded in "NY Surrogates Office wills, Vol 3." , below. Expect 16 Dec 1699 was date of banns published, & 1 Jan 1700 was date of marriage of Isaac Seloover to Judith Waldron.

A note in the "NYG&B mss file" details"Anna Selover....dau of Isaac Selover, schoolmaster & choirister of Flatlands in 1695, and Janneken van Wiekenof, wid. of Jan Thyssen. Note: "we have Anna's parents as Isaac Selover and Judith Waldron. (The Covert Family", Fisher, Covert & Patterson, 1979, p 20). Perhaps Jannekenvan Wiekenof was a stepmother since this was her 2nd marriage."

  • Isaac Seloivre the elder married Susanna Sohier.
  • Isaac Seloivre the younger (Isaac Selover) m. 3 wives: Hester van leuvenigh; Jannekan Van Wilkenhof; and Judith Waldron of New York. Lists children of Isaac Selover by all 3 wives.
  • Anna Selover m. Bragon Covert/Bregon Coevers of Bushwick; their children included Lucas Covert who m. Cornelia Van Zandt.
  • Among the 4th generation of descendants of Isaac Selover & Judith Waldron through their son Daniel Seloover, was a John Selover who provided a Luke Covert as his substitute conscript for the War of 1812. (This however can't be Lucas Covert who married Cornelia Van Zandt, as he was age 72 by then and residing in Butler Co. PA)
