Eloise M. White
Eloise White was one of two daughters of John Arthur White and wife Erma Eloise Seyler. Her sister is Phyllis White Carter (b. 13 Dec 1925) of Meadville, PA. Eloise was trained and worked as a nurse during the World War II era and during her early married life. She married in 1944 to Russell W. Wilson of Nickleville, Venango Co. PA. Eloise worked at the Franklin Hospital, and later at the Oil City Hospital, both in Venango Co. PA. She was the mother of two sons and a daughter. She and Russ enjoyed traveling together around the country. She was married for 41 years, and died in 1985, at age 63, of throat cancer.
Eloise's mother was Erma Eloise Seyler, wife of John Arthur White. Erma had a brother born 1887 who died at age 2 weeks, and two sisters, Elsie Floride Seyler Huff (1888-1961) and Alta Marie Seyler (1892-1991). Alta lived with her niece Eloise's family during the years they lived on Allegheny Ave. and Innis St., to care for the children while Eloise worked nights at Oil City Hospital.
