1 Research of Dr. Kurt Guenther, parish at Albungen where the registers (after 1804) of Hitzerode are preserved. (Older registers, since 1626, preserved at Frankershausen). Clauss Wiegand was husband of Catharina Unknown who died at Hitzerode 25 Nov. 1775 aged 85 years. They were parents of Catharina Wiegand born (calc.) 1707. Source notes

Clauss's wife Catharina died in Hitzerode in 1775. His daughter Catharina Wiegand (Becker)married in Hitzeroed in 1730 and died in Hitzerode in 1763. The birthplace of Clauss Wiegand is unknown, but it is expected that he spent much of his life in the Hitzerode area.
