Barbara (Unknown) died in 1851 and was buried at Salem Lutheran Church cemetery in Salem township, Clarion County, PA. One transcription of her gravestone, found in the records of the cemetery association, had her dates as 1851 – 1855, despite the inscription "wife of Harmon Snyder". It is expected that the second number , 1855, was presumed from a visible number "55", which is now thought to have more likely been her age. [This surmise is supported by the fact that the cemetery association records reported her husband Harmon Snyder's dates to be "1844 – 1853",( for a total age of nine years). His stone was photographed and transcribed in 1995 by E. Williams, with death year of 1844, and age of 53 years.]
If indeed Barbara's age at death was 55 years, then her birth was in about 1796. It is expected from the biography of her grandson Daniel Addison Snyder, Barbara's surname and ancestry is at present untraced.
