1	BLM Land Grant Certificate for George Dawson of Hancock Co., IN, indicating that he now owns 77.81 acres in the "the west half of the north west quarter of Section 4 in Township 16 North of Range 6 East..." [NB: This is about 6 miles NW of Greenfield, IN.] The certificate is dated 11 May 1835.
2	BLM Land Grant Certificate for George Dawson of Hancock Co., IN, indicating that he now owns 80 acres in the "the west half of the southwest quarter of Section 32 in Township 17 North of Range 7 East..." [NB: This is about 5 miles due north of Greenfield, IN.] The certificate is dated 20 May 1835.
3	Indiana Marriage Collection, 1800-1941, has an entry for Rebecca Church marrying George Dawson on 10 Nov 1836 in Henry Co., IN.
4	1840 U.S. Federal Census for Centre Township, Hancock Co., page 5 (census page is undated) George Dawson lives in a house that has one male under five, one male 30-39, one female under five, and one female 30-39. Two lines previous on the same document is Samuel Church, listed as having three males under five, one male 5-10, two males 30-40, one male 70-80, one female 5-10, two females 20-30, and one female 70-80.
5	1850 U.S. Federal Census for Centre Township, Hancock Co., IN, dated 11 Sep 1850, page 16. Lines 23-26: Rebecca Dawson, 49, lives with her son Jesse Dawson, 13, her daughter Orinda Dawson, 10, and her son Lee Dawson, 8. Rebecca was born in NH, the children were born in IN.
