NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR Uzziel H. Church is not in my direct ancestry. His relationship to known members of my family is currently a matter of active research. The assertion has been made that he is a sibling of Erastus Church and a son of Samuel Church, but that connection has not been firmly established yet. 4	Henry County Historicalog Vol. 7, #2 (fall 1979) includes the following paragraph in a section on the development of certain Henry Co. cemeteries: Old Knightstown Cemetery (From Henry County Deed Book "H", Item 641): "In the year 1839 Uzziel Church and wife, Mary Ann, conveyed a certain tract of land to...trustees of the Town of Knightstown for a public burying ground." 5	Indiana State Sentinel Volume 4, Number 46, page 3, dated 8 May 1845, includes a brief notice that "The extensive Oil Mill, Wool Carding Factory, and Saw Mill belonging to Mr. Uzziel Church, near Knightstown, were recently destroyed by fire.	(image of page on drive)
6	Indiana Marriages to 1850 has a record for Uzziel Church marrying Mary Ann Hager on 13 Jan 1847 in Hancock Co., IN. Uzziel would be 50 for this one; likely a second marriage or the wrong Uzziel.
7	Gravestone at Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Henry Co., IN, indicates that he was born 25 Dec 1797 and died 24 Nov 1875. His wife is also buried there: Mary A. Church, born 15 Feb 1804 and died 25 Sep 1846(8?). Orinda H. Church is also buried in this family plot.
